This is the 1st half of what is my birthday present for my nephew and God Son Britton Lewis! I have made 2 shirts and a baby backpack with a drawstring closure. I plan on making 2 more shirts this evening for his party tomorrow. We also got him a Frog sandbox.
Got a few Paige Pocekts packaged up to go out. One is going to Marlese over at Wickedly Chic she is going to review and feature the MaryMo shop in the Girly Stuff column.
So as you now know from my last post I will be on vacation the 1st week of July. I have decided when I get back I 'm going to have a little contest on the Dog Blog. I was inspired to have a blog contest by Shim + Sons - I thought that was such a great idea. I'll whip something cute up when I get back from vacation and then I'll randomly choose one comment off the blog that day to win it!

My DH and I are going to Vegas next week for the 4th of July and I'm soooo ready for vacation, it's all i can think about today, seeing as how it's Monday and all! ;)
We love going to Vegas, it's familiar, there is TONS to do and we love the sun and hanging out at the pool. We're not big gamblers, we'll sit down for an hour or 2 a day while there, play some nickel or quarter slots and I always have to give the big ol' progressives a shot but mostly we go for the entertainment, restaurants and bars.
We plan on doing a great Italian restaurant in Venetian, we're going to make Boa our 1st stop, they have the best Signature cocktails - I think one of my favs is the Pomegranate one with lavender in it. Such a delicious treat and such a unique idea. I think my favorite thing in Vegas though is the Fountains at Bellagio, this time we're going to eat at the Olives Restaurant right on the fountains so I can see my water show and listen to Frank Sinatra for at least a couple hours in a row!! :)We're seeing Carrot Top which should be fun, and we'll be eating at Red Square in Mandalay, they have delicious Blue Cheese stuffed olive martinis. On the 4th we're going to eat at Mix in THE Hotel in Mandalay - wow is that restaurant gorgeous or what? I might be too distracted to actually eat which at this point might be ok because I just realized that I better do the elliptical like crazy this week with all the eating I plan to do!
Oh yeah, and for fun I'm going to make myself a Wayniac handbag like Ellen's shirt from National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation. Kinda nerdy but I can't help it, I'll post pics when it's done.
My mom got some new wool stuffing that she is so happy with, it works beautifully in the cupcakes! They hold their shape so well.
There are 2 new felted bags, top right corner clutch is in the shop, the bottom Picnic Tote in green will be in the shop soon. The Paige Pocket in the bottom right corner matches the lining in the felted clutch.
That about sums up my weekend! ;)

Record High today, it reached 102. I was trying to take a pic of my car thermostat @ 100, I was stopped at a light too, I wasn't driving when I took it! ;)
Yeah! My new ironing board cover came today from Cath Kidston - I love all her stuff and only wish I could afford to get everything!
I treated myself to this ironing board cover because I think I spend more time at my ironing board than my actual sewing machine. It's amazing how important it is and how much better things turn out when you iron and starch and iron and again iron everything when you are making a handbag or anything for that matter!

So, I guess this pouch would be my favorite thing I've made lately, I really like the little gnome! This bag sold this weekend in my shop but I think I will make a few different variations sometime soon. The cupcake was made by my mother, she has more in our shop and will be adding more very soon!
