The New Oven

Well we baked french fries (we're obviously not in hibernation mode here) in the new oven this weekend. They turned out perfect. We used garlic oil, salt pepper and a bit of Thyme. Tonight I'm making corn chowder after I workout of course because once it gets cold outside here at our house we feel like eating comfort food way too much!
I hope you all had a pleasant weekend.

A wee blizzard

It's very windy and we have lots of heavy snow. The pooches and I attempted fetch but we lost both tennis balls. My hubby bought a snow thrower yesterday which we've been discussing for quite a while and we'll be testing it our shortly! Lot's of coffee drinking and soup eating here today!
I'll be adding an Adeline & matching Paige set to the shop later. Brrrrr, need more wool socks!

Cozy & Cold

Here's a new bag that's in the shop. I think I'm going to have to make more of these, I'm loving the circles and the suede which was a little weird to work with since I haven't previously is very soft.
We have a Winter storm warning here in southeast suburbia of Denver and we're expecting a blizzard tonight. Right now it's sunny, 65 degrees and a beautiful calm Fall day. Maybe it's the calm before the storm?

Meet my new friends

Not the best quality picture but here's 3 of the 4 I carved while the Husband was at Toastmasters last night. I'm hoping they'll add a little ambiance to the Chili party. Let's hope it doesn't snow so we can have a campfire and not have to sit on wet seats! I just got a fabric order in the mail, I now have the bird & forest fabric in gold and in pink too!

Let it snow Already?

Well, I guess this makes it official, I was loving Fall so much too. It just doesn't last here in Denver goes strait from Fall to Winter. Out trees still have a lot of leaves, so I'm hoping that it all melts today and the trees keep their leaves a little longer. That's the other weird thing about Denver weather, snow today and 75 the next. Let's hope this weekend is nice because we're having a party!
Today you'll see a new clutch and a few tissue holder going into the shop. I have a new bag close to being finished too.

Bags, Boobs & Teeth

Ok, so I've been a little absent from the blog lately and I hope to catch up all my blog sweethearts with my redcent doings, I have a big fresh cup of coffee sitting here with me. Here's a picture of a new bag that's of course here I struggled with a name and then went searching for most popular names in the 1930's and Doris just popped out at me. I plan on making more of these in a few variations. I have some red suede and some black boucle fabric that I'm looking forward to using. I don't know why all of a sudden I felt like making a bag with no patterned fabric, it's so unlike me! Maybe I needed an eye cleansing palette for this one.

So as promised here a few pics from the very successful Race For the Cure on Sunday, there were 65,395 participants and we had a pretty large group ourselves. This year we walked the coed race, in previous years my friend Cassie and I have run the early race and then joined our RFTC group to walk. This year we just did the walk and Cassie's mom and grandma who are both breast cancer survivors joined as they usually do. Here in interesting pic I took on the on ramp to Auraria Pkwy, you can see everyone above the bridge and below, shows you just how many people patricipated.

So the reason for not posting these pics yesterday is because I wen to the dentist yesterday and then wasn't much in a blogging mood when I returned. This new dentist I'm going to is so great(well as great as a dentist can be)! ;) He uses nano technology for fillings and does some crazy stuff with lasers, he is so passionate about his work and uses so much technology I can't even wrap my brain around it all. Anyway, we are in the process of re-doing every filling I have in my mouth with his super crazy nano technology fillings. Aparantly old school filling don't attach themselves to the tooths surface very well and therefore allow for decay between your tooth and old fillings, when this dentist does a new filling he doesn't have to give you Novocaine because it's all done with lasers. Of course since he's replacing all my old ones I had 4 shots of numbing goodness yesterday. After going to this Dr. every other dentist seems like a witch doctor.
Amazingly enough even with a crazy numb face yesterday and speaking like I had a mouth full of Jello or something I went to fabric store and a few new goodies.
Anyway, I've rambled long enough - like any of you really wanted to know that much about my mouth, right?
Anyway, keep an eye out for the most BEAUTIFUL orange knitted cap my mother brought over yesterday - it's so gorgeous I don't know if pictures will portray the glisten of the yarn! Also, another black & tan Muse cuff.
Thans for listening to my ramblings - cheers!

Etsy Treasury

The Etsy Treasury is so much fun, if you haven't checked it out yet I would recommend looking around. You can make your own list of favorites that resemble that of the lists that end up on the front page of Etsy daily. We're in 3 Treasury lists right now with a lot of other great Etsy sellers. Take a look at the shop for links to all 3.

I'll be posting some pictures from a very successful Race for The Cure later today.
