Ready For Baby

The nursery is finally finished. My husband was the brains and brawn behind all this, I love the portrait rail with the chair rail, he picked the paint too as I was SO indecisive. I will take credit for most of the pink though, and thanks to all our family and friends who have helped out with all the newborn necessities from our shower.

New floors, new base molding, crown molding, fresh paint, some paintings made with love by Grandma Mimi (yes all the paintings were done by her). A closet with plenty of pink to wear the first few months of life, I hope she likes pink like I do!

A few cozy blankets to snuggle in, one that matches the room perfectly knitted by her other Grandma.

A dresser with a few drawers full of newborn diapers (Thanks Robinson's) and the diaper changing necessities, we think.

Her name in fabric letters from Anthropologie, blurred for now since her name is Top Secret till D-Day! ;)

A Rocker for nursing and cuddling.

A soon to be friend to watch over her. Less than 4 weeks till we finally get to meet her.

TOTALLY adorable. TOTALLY! It's a little girl paradise. FYI, make sure you put something under the changing pad thingie. We bought Syd a $500 dresser (outrageous, I know) and her changing pad no slip thing left a yellowish stain on it. ACK!

it is incredible, miss mary! what a wonderful room for your little bundle - you and your hubby could really start a little nursery design biz, too... when you have some free time :-)
congrats on everything - enjoy these last few days/weeks together and dream of all the beauty and adventure that awaits you!

Oh, Mary!

It's beautiful, of course! Don't you love just sitting in the nursery - waiting? That was/is such a peaceful place for me.

I, too, have a weakness for little birds - I broke down and got the little bird sheets from Pottery Barn for the girls' beds. So Cute!

I hope the next few weeks are filled with joy and anticipation! You are in for the most beautiful, endearing moments of your life! When you have a child - you grow a whole other heart!

Best wishes!
Amanda:)

P.S. Come by for a visit and see my newest "Christmas Eve" addition!

I'm new to your blog, and I must say that you are so talented! (and by the looks of the room, it looks like your husband is too)

What a blessed little girl to have such wonderful parents.
