Classifieds, Customer Service and a Party!

TGIF!
This has been a very busy week. We sold the pool table this week and hopefully the horrid blue couches today, someone is coming to look at them at 10am, Craigslist is awesome!
Backerboard is up on the counters and backsplash, it's all ready for granite and slate tiles - I was supposed to have put the tile up during the week, but that didn't happen.
This week was a good lesson in patience with poor customer service, the level of incompetence at some companies really boggles my brain. This week I learned that when dealing with less than average service, be firm, never say "this is ridiculous", and always let the person with which you are speaking to, know that it's not them personally that you are mad at just the overall situation, then they'll usually agree and attempt to help.
Tonight is my brother Aaron's 30th SURPRISE birthday party, he honestly has NO clue, I can't wait to see his face - he deserves the best party ever!

Where did fall go?

I love trees, I love OUR trees, I love that of all our neighbors in our fairly new neighborhood ('97) we have way more trees than anyone and they're big. I love to look out our 2 story windows and just look at the trees. Well apparently mother nature is not as excited about our trees, we had 2 break this summer from strong winds, these 2 were on the side of the house making for 'some' privacy from the street. Then yesterday we got 14" of snow, our trees are just realizing they should start changing colors and maybe lose some leaves and the poor things get 14 inches of snow? We have so many broken branches it makes me cry. Clean up this week will not be fun after the meltdown, and because this is Colorado it's gonna be in the 70's by the end of the week.
With the holidays fast approaching I have set the end of October as my goal to have all my Christmas gifts purchased, and they will all be wrapped by the end of November, so when Dec 1st hits I'll be sittin' back enjoying a cocktail with no more gifts to buy or wrap. I am so bad at choosing gifts for people, hopefully my husband who has a talent for that sort of thing will give me some input. My favorite gifts to buy are for our dogs, I can't wait to watch Griswold open his 1st Christmas gifts, he will love it!
