Fly me Away

Well, I'm off tomorrow to San Diego/La Jolla for a long weekend and to go to a beach wedding. Looking forward to some nice dinners, wine and walking around with my hubby. We'll be staying here, I think we've become hotel room snobs a little lately, but this was the most reasonable that suited us. For as little as we travel I think it's ok though. ;)

I'll be making more Pastiche Petal Pins upon my return next week, I think they're super Mother's Day Gifts! The one in the pic here is in the shop now though.

I haven't disappeared...yet.

Sorry I've been so distant, just been busy. Mother nature teased us here in Denver with warm Spring like weather for a few weeks, but now it's 35 degrees and we're expecting up to 12 inches of snow in the next day and a half. Well, I'll be in San Diego next weekend so I should get some warm weather there atleast.

I'll be hopefully getting to this idea in the picture above soon, isn't it a great way to feature your fav fabrics in your house? I saw it originally here, and then again here. I have the hoops I just need to nail down what fabrics to use. If you want to do it the tutorial is here.

OK better get back to work but I just wanted to say hey! I have some custom order handbags I'm working on for a few new customers and I have to finish up a display for selling my ponies and clips at the hair salon where I get my do done. I'll post pics once it's done.

Watching the Sunset with Carlotta

I made this new Carlotta to post in the shop prior to my showcase on Thursday, tomorrow. I'm having problems letting her go though. As I was photographing her this evening in the last few moments of daylight, I started realizing just how ME this bag is. Oh my pretty, I'll hang her up right here so I can see her and ponder posting her in ye' old shop. Whoever you are out there who may end up purchasing my sweet Carlotta from the shop...take care of her -k-! ;)

It's 7pm..Still Light Out..And I'm playing with my Widget

I am SO in love with daylight savings time! It means Spring is just around the corner, there is what feels like a little more time in every day now, especially more time to squeeze in product pictures for new items in the shop.

Another one of my favorite things is the new supa cool Etsy widget, Etsy Mini.

It's customizable and allows you to post a neat little block of Etsy item images onto your own Web pages. I have my featured items from the shop over there to the left. It's oh so fun to play with, you can show off your goods, your friends goods or just your recent hearted items. So if you have a blog or your own web site I'd highly recommend playing with your Widget, lol (that joke is not getting old yet).

Laila is now, um Larger... Ok, Voluptuous.

Laila has packed on a few, but in the nicest way possible. Marymo's original design has grown. Laila is still the same cute gal we've come to love but she is now 2.5" deep from front to back. I'll be posting her along with a pink & green (my new fav color combo lately) friend later this afternoon. When I thought up Laila's design one night while trying to fall asleep I wasn't sure if the round design would be a hit or not but so far I've had good feedback on her. I wish I had more time in the day to create, I can't sleep sometimes because I get all these thoughts about bag colors and designs and combinations...need more time. Cheers.

New Stuff

I hope everyone had a super week and I hope everyone has an even more super weekend! I think we're suppossed to get snow on Saturday, oh well it may have to be a stay in, do laundry and sew kind of day! I'm SO ok with that! cheers blog friends!

Say Hello to my Little Friend

I'm loving my new friend I got from projectgrabbag, Shannon's shop is so much fun. Her and I recently did a trade and I got myslef some delicious vintage buttons. Which then meant I had to buy some cute glass jars with perfect little red lids to put the buttons in. I'll post pics of those later. ;)
I see a wee collection starting, this is gnome #3 in my office/sewing room now, #2 was a generous gift. Well back to sewing with my sleepy friend.

Here's a new bag that's in the shop. I was laying in bed not sleeping as I should have been the other night and I had the feeling I had to make a round-ish inspired bag. And what better color for a round-ish bag...red...cherry red.

Well, it seems that Six Weird Things has caught on like wildfire. I was actually tagged a while back, but I forgot to tag others - duh, that's the fun part!!I was recently tagged again by Becki and Jessica.
So to be a good sport and tag my own bloggers here it is, 6 MORE weird/odd things about Mrs. Mary.

These I might not have originally shared with you all however my husband helped compile this list. ;)
1. I vacuum a LOT, see list #1 but deserved 2 spots for it's obvious husband annoyance.
2. "If I want to I can burp louder than most construction workers" - per my Husband.
3. I obsessively clean my glasses about 5 times a day.
4. I crack my knuckles, not constantly but a couple times a day.
5. I can't keep a hairstyle, I perpetually change color and cuts.
6. I let my dogs sleep in the bed every morning. Yes the obsessive vacuumer let's her dogs in her bed. Go figure.

OK, phew, glad that's over!! Now I tag, Jennifer, Amanda, Megan, Yvonne, Sara, and Carole so she has to start a blog!

That's what a nap should look like!!

Hello friends, didnt' mean to leave you all with a that glass of frosty brew for so long. Hubby and I went to Elephant Bar and ejoyed some beer and calamari late Monday afternoon. Their calamari is really delicious, a little ginger flavor and the dipping sauce, oh so good. I'm anticipating a delicious new batch of fabrics this hopefully Friday, anyone thinking Spring yet? Yea, me either but I promise some pretty new fabrics in the shop very soon.
