String is the yarn store mom and I went to yesterday, this photo does not do it justice - they have so much yarn! We picked out some yarn for the curly Sue scarf mom is going to make me and for our Etsy shop, the one we're going to put in our shop is this beautiful honey color, so sweet and just right for Spring with a tank or 'T'!
While we were enjoying our lunch the pooches found the paper plate stash in the basement - looks like fun!

I think this will be my large version, it can hold a pouch of Kleenex. I like the 2 pockets on the inside. I need to design my smaller version.
I am going to start on my nephews sock monkey this weekend, I got the Rockford Reds in the mail today!
Sometimes we call Griswold 'Bubble boy' becuase he was born without the personal space bubble that most humans and dogs seem to have. He has no regard for others' personal space - it is pretty cute though!
This is my new bag I'm selling at my Etsy store. I'm really happy with it, I'm going to make another one with some pink and brown Amy butler fabric. I'm hoping to finish it this week. I also accidentally made a really nice wallet the other day, jus experimenting with snaps, I'm going to make some of those next, it will have 2 pockets. I have a name already picked out too, it will be the Paige Pocket. Then I want to experiment with making some fabric picture frames, Like the one's at Anthropologie but not $50. Oh yeah and i have a great pattern for a clutch, I want to find cool vintage fabric though a BIG floral would be really cool. I'm loving Etsy, oh and I sold my first thing last week!! Drying out pictures
So aparently it's easier than you would think to puncture a water line while nailing in baseboard. We did this back in January and were not made aware until Saturday afternoon when we noticed water leaking down from the sub floor into the basement. We nailed 2 perfectly centered nail holes into the hot water pipe near the floor in the living room. Hopefully not more than $1,000 later the floors just need to dry out so we have fans running everywhere and a de-humidifier. What a weekend!
So maybe I'm the only female who isn't a fan of Oprah. She seems nice enough I guess but I feel like very time I happen across her show for a moment (which is maybe 2 times a year really) It's a bunch of woman going way overboard in their excitement level of a celebrity like Tom Cruise and his love for his young enough to be his daughter girlfriend, or when Julia Roberts was prego with twins the crowd was balling and screaming - you'd think Elvis showed up or something. Ladies, people have twins all the time - why don't I find it the least bit interesting that Julia Roberts had twins - Big Whoop!
Anyway, I saw this mag at Vitamin Cottage and it cracked me up, why is SHE always on the cover of her magazine? Maybe she figures it's better than James Frey.
So I've been totally absessed with Typography lately, I've been wanting these silver letter M's ofr our bookshelves but missed the auction for some Pottery Barn ones, but my DH found 2 of these at a Thrift store in LoDo - I was so excited! We're going to make a big whit edistressed wooden one for our kitchen wall by our fridge too. The when I do our picture gallery on our hallway wall I'm going to frame some important letters and numbers mixed in with the pics, I think it will look pretty cool!
I'm finally starting on some makeup bags. I'm using the end of my favorite Amy Butler fabric for 2 of them. I need to get more of her fabric, I can't wait for her Forest line to come out. I need to find some really nice ribbon for the zippers...
Recently my favorite Blogs have been posting photos of their favorite spots in their house. Well my living Room which is recently renovated is definetly mine! The couches are so comfortable and I'll have to post a pic of the room at night because the lighting(thanks to my very clever DH)is really romantic. This couch begs me to read and nap on it every Sunday afternoon, I'm going to give into it soon. The ottoman is especially grand to me because it is so big, and I absolutley adore how the serving tray is a perfect fit for it. It's the perfect spot to display a Real Simple magazine or a bud vase. It is so great to have a vision for a room and see it all the way through. I made my finger actually bleed from all the caulking on the base boards.
I really like the orange orchid blossoms in the vase between the couch and dining room but I think in the Spring I might change them to Cherry Blossoms, I love Cherry Blossoms!

OK, so even though I think I'm alone out here in the Blogging World I have to share. My mom and I are FINALLY starting to sell some of our handmade things on Etsy, I'm really excited! Here is a sampling of what we have for sale now.
I need to start using my Blog to brainstorm about crafty ideas. I think it might help to get my creative juices flowing. I have some handbag ideas I want to make, although it's hard to part with handbags for me because I love them so much.
